We are looking for additional Trustees to strengthen the County Trustee Board. This is a valuable opportunity for both Scout volunteers and professionals from outside the movement to contribute their expertise at a strategic level. We would particularly welcome individuals with any experience in areas such as legal, finance, fundraising, or compliance. As a Trustee, you will play a key role in governance, oversight, and ensuring the County operates effectively and sustainably. Your insight—whether gained within Scouting or through your professional career—will help guide decisions and enhance the support we provide to young people and volunteers. If you are seeking a meaningful challenge and a chance to apply your skills to make a positive impact in a respected charity, we would be delighted to hear from you. You can find further information about the role here.
As a Trustee you attend 4 County Trustee Board meetings a year, as well as the County Annual General Meeting. In addition you may also be required to attend other meetings or take on other trustee responsibilities either individually or as part of a sub team.
Think that you are too young to be a trustee? The Scout Association is youth shaped, and having young trustees helps to ensure young people’s views are considered when making decisions. Check out this short video of our Young Trustees telling their experiences and encouraging more young people to get involved.
