West Sussex Learning Hub – Learning Assessers
How do I find who has requested an assessment?
- On your welcome page: Click ‘My learning’.
- Click the 9 dotted square in the top right (or the Categories Switch)
- Click Assess. Your view will change along the top navigation bar
- On the Learning Assessor Overview screen you will see a search box with a table of members below it. Click TWICE on the “Skill Request” column to sort the requests to the top. You will see the column have a number in it if there is a skill to assess Click ‘Trainer and Learning Assessor Resources’
- If there is a row with a number in the Skill Requests column then click the icon on the right to enter into that members learning record
If someone requests an assessment outside of the system, this is fine. You just need to record your assessment directly against the skill.

Do learners have to be assessed by an assigned Learning Assessor?
No, any accredited Learning Assessor can assess any learner. However, it often works well if a learner works closely with a Learning Assessor (ideally from outside their own Group).
I have received a skill assessment request with no attachments. What do I do?
Contact the learner and ask them for evidence. You may want to do this via a telephone conversation and/or suggest the use of the assessment criteria templates (add a link).
Someone raised a skill assessment request by mistake. What do I do?
Go to the request (as usual), click Assessment. Do not click on the grey box at the top and then click Confirm Assessment. The request will then be cancelled
