Role title:

County Programme Team Lead

Role outline:

To lead the County Programme Team, whose purpose is to enable the delivery of the
progressive Youth Award Scheme.

Responsibilities:

  • To be a member of the County Senior Leadership Sub-Team, whose purpose is to provide
  • strategic leadership to the County.
  • To be a member of the County Leadership Team, whose purpose is to provide purpose and
  • direction to the County.
  • To create a team of scouters who are committed to promoting and enabling the delivery of
  • a high-quality progressive youth award scheme (ie programme) across the County.
  • To line manage the County Supervisor of the Nights Away Permit Scheme (SNAPS).
  • To line manage the County Top Awards/DofE Adviser.
  • To line manage the County Programme Events Team Lead (and by extension the
  • Programme Events Team).

Responsible to:

  • County Lead Volunteer

Appointment Requirements:

  • Have satisfactory DBS Clearance
  • Understand and accept The Scout Association’s policies
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Scouts youth award scheme and its progressive nature.
