County Trustees – the County Trustee Board is a team of volunteers who work together, as charity trustees, to make sure Scouts is run safely and legally. At the heart of their role is a focus on strategy, performance and assurance. Applications from those with a background in Compliance or Finance would be particularly welcome. You can find further information about the role here.
As a Trustee you attend 4 County Trustee Board meetings a year, as well as the County Annual General Meeting. In addition you may also be required to attend other meetings or take on other trustee responsibilities either individually or as part of a sub team.
Think that you are too young to be a trustee? The Scout Association is youth shaped, and having young trustees helps to ensure young people’s views are considered when making decisions. Check out this short video of our Young Trustees telling their experiences and encouraging more young people to get involved.
